Differences in Marriage

My husband and I are very much alike in our beliefs and our values.
We agree politically (though he’s a bit more verbal and opinionated).
   We agree spiritually.
We agree on how to rear our children.
In our personalities, though, we are completely different.
He is outgoing with nary a shy bone in his body.
He has energy that never stops.
He gets animated when he is around people.
I know we are not the only ones with major differences in our personalities.  This summer, a friend showed me some pictures that she had taken when she and her husband went to the beach.
My friend loves the beach!  She couldn’t wait to get her toes in the sand!
Her husband, however, can not really be described as a beach bum.  Check out the black pants, white socks and sneakers.
I’m thinking a mountain vacation would have been more to his liking!

  1. It's true what they say, "Opposites Attract!" I guess we see in someone else all the things we'd like to be ourselves and that's what attracts us to that person. It happens in friendships as well as marriages. All the differences add spice and variety to the relationship! Cute posting Lovey. xoxo

  2. Love those "beach photos". When my husband and I first married, I think our honeymoon trip to Hot Springs was only the second time out of state for him. I grew up taking wonderful family trips. Now I think he loves traveling as much as I do, maybe more – if that is possible. Alaska, Yellowstone, and even the beach are just a few of our favorite trips. He won't, however, visit the big cities – NYC or the amusement parks – Disney – out of the question. 🙂 Enjoyed your post!Blessings,Ava
